Monday Musings

So many Christians have been under full attack in the past few years. We have lost people we love from our lives, material possessions, reputations, and/or our health.

We feel as if all this brokenness has gotten us to the point of total surrender. We love God and we have determined to never leave His side because He is our only safe harbor.

But, beloved of the Lord, we still haven’t “arrived” yet. We have not, nor will we ever, reach a time where we are left alone. Satan harassed Jesus until the very end. People spoke horrific things to him and spit on Him on the cross.

I see and feel God working in the area of sins we may have battled since childhood. I see God making us more aware of how these things need to go as we ask for a deeper and closer walk with Him.

One area God was speaking to me about yesterday was unanswered prayer. What keeps our prayers from being answered?

For a lot of us it’s conditional love. We simply don’t like some people. They “rub” us the wrong way. In our heads we have a constant dialogue running. The largest huddle to jump over is hate. I have asked God to help me to find unconditional love for these people. I ask Him to allow me to see people through his eyes of unconditional love. Hate, gossip, jealousy, not forgiving, all these things HINDER PRAYER.

Have a blessed week!

222

In asking God for a Word today I was reminded that this is February 22. I then realized it is a 222 day. So many people tell me they see 222 often.

God directed me to Daniel 2:22.

But in getting complete answers I also always look at the scripture before and after the one I am interested in.

…21He changes the times and seasons; He removes kings and establishes them. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to the discerning. 22He reveals the deep and hidden things; He knows what lies in darkness, and light dwells with Him. 23To You, O God of my fathers, I give thanks and praise, because You have given me wisdom and power. And now You have made known to me what we have requested, for You have made known to us the dream of the king.

Look for things to be revealed today. Things that may have been hidden to you will suddenly become revealed. It is God that promotes people and also God that removes them from our lives as well as from the Global stage.

It could be that a prominent world leader will be removed. I would not be surprised if something big doesn’t happen in Venezuela soon. It’s a humanitarian crisis that cannot be allowed to continue.

Either way, either in your life personally or in our lives globally I discern big changes today!

Trusting God When Nothing Is Making Sense

All day long I have felt the Lord laying it on my heart to share this with people who are feeling so frustrated with the way their life is going. People who believe God gave them a promise for their life and they see no evidence of it year after year after year. As a matter of fact some of you are wondering if you really did hear from God!

I have heard the story of Samson and Delilah my whole life. There is a part of it that God used yesterday in order to show me something I had not seen in the same way before. I was listening to Pastor Steven Furtick preach on the story yesterday when God opened my eyes to something through his sermon.

The part that came alive to me was the part in JUDGES 13. An Angel Of The Lord appears to Samson’s mother:

“Now therefore, please be careful not to drink wine or similar drink, and not to eat anything unclean. For behold, you shall conceive and bear a son. And no razor shall come upon his head, for the child shall be a Nazirite to God from the womb; and he shall begin to deliver Israel out of the hand of the Philistines.” (Judges 13:4 & 13-14)

So she is told her son was to be used to deliver Israel out of the hands of the Philistines. She followed all the rules. She, and her husband, took time to raise Samson in the house of God. God had something important for their son to do. He was God’s anointed.

Time passes. When he was a young adult, Samson left the hills of his people to see the cities of Philistia. He fell in love with a Philistine woman from Timnah, whom he decided to marry, ignoring the objections of his parents, who were concerned because the Israelites were forbidden to marry Gentiles.

About now, if I was Samson’s mother, I would be thinking, “How can this be Lord? What you said to me had nothing to do with my son marrying the enemy! What is going on?”

As we read the whole story we come to see that what looked like a terrible mistake actually was part of God’s plan.

A lot of us think our miracle is going to be straight forward. Now when things aren’t looking good and everything is going crazy, we might be tempted to give up our dream.

What we fail to see is that when everything in the natural is looking bad, we have to stay calm. God will do what he said he will do, just like he did with Samson eventually. We have to trust the plan because God will not do it in the way it makes sense to us, instead he will do it in a way in which, when it happens against all odds, not just us, but all those watching, will know it was only because of God that we got our miracle!

You might not see it right now, beloved, but if you simply trust God, like a well woven quilt, your life is all going to all come together for your GOOD.

A Word For The Discouraged

Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world.  1 John 4:1

Not all that glitters is gold, is a cliché that a lot of us grew up with. Yet, still in this day and age, we get fooled often because we want to find the perfect relationship, perfect job, and we want joy in our lives.

We often spend a lot of time praying for our miracle, and then when we “think” we have it, we start ignoring all “red flags” and we are sure that this person, job or “thing” is from God. Then when things turn out badly, we turn around and blame God.

I have finally gotten to a point in my walk, where I never blame God when things go wrong. I know, without a doubt, that all things that happen in my life that are less then perfect, are because I wanted something and didn’t take the time to pray over the situation or they come directly from the hand of the devil.

The devil is the enemy of the soul of every single Christian. Like he did with Job, the devil studies us to find out area’s of our weaknesses and that is where he hits us.

Sometimes it feels, these days, as if we barely get through one rough time before another one is on our doorstep. We get tired and we get weary, and we become more vulnerable to taking the first solution we see that might be an answer.

Psalm 34:18 tell us the following:

“The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.”

When we are suffering in our emotions, or health area’s, because of a poor decision we made, that should be a clue to us to take our own inventories. When faced with the consequences of bad decisions, it’s important to ask ourselves what pattern in our lives are we constantly repeating? If we can pinpoint that pattern we can save ourselves a lot of pain.

I counsel people sometimes who get so tired and weary with doing everything alone, that they look at the first person that comes along as someone who can rescue them. Having been a single mom for years I understand. But when I help someone who has rushed into a situation that turned out badly, out of desperation, I counsel them to trust in God in the future and not another frail human being.

It’s the same with bad jobs. We need money, we have to eat and pay the bills and so we jump head first into the first opportunity that presents itself only to say to ourselves later, “I hate this job!”

What God has shown me is that we must get to a point that we trust God, more then other people, to be the solution to our problems. Trusting God means we can sit still and wait until the right opportunity presents itself.

Trusting God means we can pray for wisdom and discernment before making life-changing decisions.

Satan doesn’t tempt us with things that don’t look good. He brings something around, wanting to destroy us, that looks just like what we have been praying for. We often forget that we are in a battle for our souls, and don’t even consult God prior to making important decisions. Satan can make things look good for us that are not in our best interest.

“And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light.” 2 Corinthians 11:14

The most important thing in the world, for the Christian, should be our relationship with God. When we spend a lot of time with Him each day, in prayer and the Word, we become more keenly aware of anything that comes our way that isn’t of Him.

I often say that our relationship with the Lord is like any other relationship. The more time we spend with someone the more we get to know his or her personality. We know what they like, and what they don’t like.  That’s why our personal time spent with God each day is so important. We begin to know what He is like, and when something or someone comes along that is not like Him; we will have much better discernment.

Satan’s tactics have not changed one bit. In the Garden of Eden he starts to mess with Eve’s mind. She listens to him, and thinks, “I guess he is right, God won’t care if I eat that apple.” Confusion sets in, and sin follows. Spending time searching the scriptures for answers tell us what God likes and what He doesn’t. If we can keep our minds full of God’s Word we will have better defense against being tricked into things by Satan.

The past is over, and we all blew it in one way or another in the past. We need to forget bad decisions, and get over it. We can’t change the past. The future can be better when we learn what God wants and stay in obedience to His rules, whether we like them or not.

Obedience brings true blessings! Beloved, today if you need to make a decision DO NOT do anything out of desperation. God has your answers, and He is more then willing to supply our needs when we ask Him!

Wait on the LORD!

Father, Help us to make Godly decisions today, and everyday. Give us wisdom, discernment and clear heads when making life long decisions. Thank you for being near to us 24/7. When we call, You answer us and send angels before us to prepare our way! In Your Name, the Name above all names we pray. Amen and Amen

May God be with you today, May He guide you and keep you safe from the wiles of the devil!

A California Earthquake?

Today while I was praying for my oldest son, who is away from God, and me, I was reminded of something. Was it a warning? Perhaps, we will have to pray about it.

In 1971 we were living in California in the San Fernando Valley, Granada Hills CA to be exact. My son’s birthday was February 8th. For some reason everyone in both of our families forgot his birthday. I was upset about it, and it was before I was saved. Meaning I was more upset about it then I should have been. I was pregnant with my second son and hormonal anyway. I cried most of the day about everyone forgetting Chris’s BD.

The next morning, early on February 9th, 1971, I was awoken by a huge boom! At first I thought a drunk had run into one of the cement pillars under our apartment. It happened frequently as we lived above the parking structure. But as I was contemplating that the earth started to shake violently and I realized we were having a very bad earthquake. We were evacuated shortly thereafter as a dam was damaged and getting ready to burst. We were in the direct path of the gushing water.

I was so scared and I remember thinking to myself, “I can’t believe I was so upset yesterday over nothing because now we are in a life threatening situation. As we say, “ In the blink of an eye everything can change.”

I believe that has been 48 years. They are way overdue for something big in that area. We need to pray about that.

Also, if someone reading this is really upset over something you are going through right this minute, let it go. We never know when things could be a whole lot worse!

Amen?

A Heart For Serving

In the church where I was ordained it was a special thing. My pastor didn’t look at CVs he instead got in prayer and let the Holy Ghost guide his decisions.

I approached him about starting a women’s ministry. His wife was our piano player and had no desire to do anything else. There were hurting women there.

I stated my case. The pastor said, “So you have a servants heart and because of you background you have compassion for women.” I said, “Yes, I do”

So starting the very next Sunday Pastor told me to get there early to discuss my training. I dressed beautifully. I was sure pastor would announce me as the new women’s ministry leader. I wanted to be looking good.

Well it didn’t start that way. We had a pot luck every Sunday. Pastor directed me in to that area to set up tables, put silverware out, plates, glasses and all the things needed to serve and prepare food.

The next Sunday he asked me to clean the restrooms as it appeared the cleaning people hadn’t done it.

This went on for a year where pastor observed me and my willingness to really serve people. At the end of the year he saw I could be trusted and allowed me to start the women’s ministry. He ordained every minister in that Church, just as Jesus choose and ordained the apostles. It was then, he finally, ordained me as a women’s minister.

Jesus has big things for us. He has places he wants to use us but he is going to test us first to see how we act in the trenches. When we pass these tests then we move on to the desires of our hearts. We must occupy what ever place we are in and do our best to thrive in the place even when it’s not our ideal place.

Crucification Of Your Soul

The day before yesterday I was talking to someone who had been through living hell. Trusting someone who claimed to be a Christian and then destroyed *** trust. There was a lot more to it, and this person was a mature Christian with a lot of discernment.

I have said it before and I am going to say it again, these end time demonic spirits occupying empty shells are strong but greater is God who is in us then Satan who is in the world.

Being restored to God after a hard situation often leaves us broken and wondering why God allowed it in the first place if he loves us.

But, beloved of the Lord, Jesus understood that he would go through a whole lot of pain. Even though he knew that, at the end of his earthly walk, he said to the Father, “Father if possible let me escape this, HOWEVER, not My will but thy will be done.”

At the end of His horrible painful death he rose again to life! The ending was worth the pain!

You who have been through soul crucification need to know that the purpose for this was so you would come out of this with more wisdom and more understanding so that you could love and show compassion to others experiencing horrible betrayal and rejection too.

The Father trusted that the son was strong enough for His mission and likewise the Father knew you were strong enough to not only survive but, in the end, thrive through your horrible experiences.

Throw off the clothes of grief and go forward to help others who have suffered what you went through. God will restore you and replace, doubly, all you lost!

A Word Of Warning!

Warning**** If you are easily upset, please read no further*****

Wow! I very seldom give warning prophecy. I very seldom give it when I can’t tell anyone what exactly to be on guard about but today I am going to do just that.

I woke up early after having a very demonic dream. I lay there in bed and tried to figure out that dream, while asking God for discernment and peace. Finally I fell back to sleep and had two more horrible dreams, one right after the other.

I forced myself to awake. When I did I could still sense the evil atmosphere around me. I had to go into deep prayer in tongues. Prayer and PRAISE.

I realized I had escaped the realm of sleep in which we are passive and the evil one can and does torment us.

I believe the reason we have been hearing so many prophets and preachers warning to get junk out of our lives and live a higher level of holiness is because all hell is beginning to be unleashed on the world. A demonic horde that is worse then what we have seen before.

Something bad is coming. I believe it is going to be seen world wide as 9-11 was seen worldwide.

Get right with God, Our only refuge. The children of God, staying close to him, will be able to escape. Just barely, as I did in my dream atmosphere this morning.

Get your house in order. Spiritually and physically!

I hate this kind of warning. I know people would rather hear encouragement but I am releasing this Word as I feel God wants me to do so.

Shalom!

Who Do You Depend On The Most?

This is not as easy as it seems. How much do you depend on someone else’s help? How much do you depend on your bank account or your savings? Imagine if everyone of these things was gone overnight? Now this is where the rubber meets the road. When people die unexpectedly,or become ill and are no longer there for you, and it’s just you and God what do you do?

In the natural we start to worry. We think one negative thought and then they snowball and then the next thing we know we are in full panic mode. I know because I have been there. Even as a Christian who professes to depend on God we live in these suits of flesh and the spirit is willing to trust in God but the flesh is weak.

When you first read this who came to your mind first? Did you say, “That won’t happen to me. No matter what happens I can depend on “so and so” helping me out. I will be Okay!”

But what if the worst happens. I spoke to a younger couple in the last year who depended heavily on his father for help. They were living in a home he owned. They were driving a car he gave them and if they were late on a bill they didn’t worry much because good old dad would bail them out.

On his way home from work one day a lady in another car ran a light and his dad was killed instantly. After that they saw a side of dad’s wife, his step mother, that they never saw coming. She now gave them a thirty day notice and told them they would need to move because she wanted/needed to sell the home they were living in. That was a plot twist they never saw coming and they had to face being without a back up system for the first time ever.

The good news is that drove them to God. But in the meantime, with no money saved, they had moments of panic.

The only way to make it through panic and worry is to learn to live strictly in the moment with God. Ground yourself by telling your mind STOP. Then be present with what you can do at the moment. Get your mind off of the problem by doing something else. Read a book, clean something or organize your closet. Get so involved in the moment you are in that you have no time to panic. Then, without panic thoughts, your mind becomes clear and God inspired ideas will come into your mind.

Anyone we put our trust in, besides God, can be gone in the blink of an eye. I urge you to become self-sufficient. Sooner or later you will have to do it anyway.

Then, LEARN TO BE IN THE MOMENT. Thinking about the what-ifs drive us to anxiety attacks. You don’t need to be anywhere except in the moment you are in. Depend on God and yourself ONLY.

It Takes Guts To Leave The Ruts

Have you heard the saying, “It takes guts to leave the ruts,”.

At the start of a new work week consider that God wants to take you in a new direction to grow you so that you can reach higher spiritual heights! Surrender your desire for things to only work out in one way and one way only. If you keep doing what you have always done you will get what you have always gotten.

Psalm 32:8-9

I hear the Lord saying, “I will stay close to you, instructing and guiding you along the pathway for your life. I will advise you along the way and lead you forth with my eyes as your guide. So don’t make it difficult; don’t be stubborn when I take you where you’ve not been before. Don’t make me tug you and pull you along. Just come with me!”
