He Wants You To Stand Still

img_4171

You think you have a problem today? How about this one?

The Israelites were in a world of hurt. They had the Red Sea in front of them and Pharaohs Egyptian Army in back of them.

Exodus 14:10-14 10And when Pharaoh drew nigh, the children of Israel lifted up their eyes, and, behold, the Egyptians marched after them; and they were sore afraid: and the children of Israel cried out unto the LORD. 11And they said unto Moses, Because there were no graves in Egypt, hast thou taken us away to die in the wilderness? wherefore hast thou dealt thus with us, to carry us forth out of Egypt? 12Is not this the word that we did tell thee in Egypt, saying, Let us alone, that we may serve the Egyptians? For it had been better for us to serve the Egyptians, than that we should die in the wilderness. 13And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will show to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever. 14The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.

The Lord wants you to do the same thing that he told the Israelites to do STAND STILL THE LORD SHALL FIGHT FOR YOU HOLD YOUR PEACE.

But standing still sounds like doing nothing to most of us. We rush around, we wring our hands and we say, “Lord, what am I going to do?” We all get that manipulative Jezebel spirit on us every now and then. We think we have to figure it out. When we cannot do that we call first one friend and then another and pour out our problems hoping that they will help us.

The Word of God tells us the following; I lift up my eyes to the mountains- where does my help come from? 2My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth. Psalm 121:1-2

Our help comes from God. Not from mom and dad, not from our best friend, but from GOD.

I was doing a bible study on “standing still” today. It is amazing how many times, in so many verses of the bible, God tells us to stand still.

“Now then, stand still and see this great thing the LORD is about to do before your eyes!” 1 Samuel 12:16

“Be still, and know that I [am] God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.” Psalms 46:10

“Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the Lord with you, O Judah and Jerusalem: fear not, nor be dismayed; tomorrow go out against them: for the Lord will be with you.” 2 Chronicles 20-17

You may be thinking, “I am going to do this, or I am going to do that!” God is saying to you today beloved, STAND STILL.

God is not a man that EVER lies. He will do this for you and do it in a way you may never have thought of and from the hand of someone whom you never imagined blessing you.

Calm yourself. Sit down, take a deep breath in and hold it to the count of five, and then release it to the count of 5. Then say, “I am standing still and I am quiet while God solves this problem for me. I relax in peace because I belong to God and He is working this out for me now! I may not see Him at work but I knowHe is because His Word says He is.” Then relax. When the worry thoughts come back to you again, courtesy of the tormentor of your soul, do the same exact thing.

God has this! Send me an email with a miracle report so we can encourage others!

Stand STILL.

The sessions are built around your schedule as I counsel at night also. I work up until 10PM Mountain Time and also on weekends.

It always amazes me at how the Holy Spirit shows up and reveals to me things about your life, both presently and in the past, that explain what is currently happening in your life. The counsel is backed by scriptures and biblical based knowledge pertaining to your specific area of concern.

If interested please go to HelpforGodsHurtingPeople.com and fill out a contact form. I will then send you information on how it works.

I did a counseling session yesterday that totally caught myself and the woman I was counseling off guard. In a beautiful way God addressed her problem and explained to us both what was happening currently for her and why. She was very thankful and so was I.

Look forward to seeing what God has in store for you!

Have You Ever Been Mad At God? I Have

Jesusinthegarden

Do you ever get mad at God? I hate to admit it, and maybe I wouldn’t have admitted it until I read a blog entry by someone who used to write a Christian blog and no longer does. One of the reasons they listed is because they are, or were, mad at God.

Now I could get all judgmental and say, “This person is going to hell for being mad at God!” I might say anything or might have said anything prior to God helping me bring my tongue under control.

However, instead,  I didn’t judge the person because I understand that sometimes in the life of a dedicated to God person, we are going to get mad at God. If you don’t understand that you will before your walk with God is through.

In my case my life went to hell in a hand basket after a terribly unfair situation. I mean a REALLY unfair situation! Everyone I knew realized how unfair it was and how horrible our lives had become because of a mistake by a doctor and a hospital. There was no mistaking that their mistake had ruined our lives. So we took these negligent people to court and as unbelievable as it sounds we lost the case. Because we lost the case the house we were leasing with an option to buy was lost too. Our credit was ruined as a result of medical bills and now we were about to be out of the streets because the landlord refused to deal with us now that it looked like we couldn’t afford the house. He was rude, mean, and demonic and things went bad quickly. We had planned to buy the house and so had no money saved up and had to borrow money to move from high interest loan companies. There have been days we have had nothing but rice to eat but we make those payments on time. I have three payments left of 350.00 a piece and we live on fixed incomes.

God promised us that we would have justice. We were treated unfairly and we believed, and still do, that we should have won that lawsuit. But we didn’t.

My husband, due to his injury, couldn’t lift our furniture and neither could I. We literally ended up selling at least half of our belongings so that we could have the money to hire a mover. We found another rental home. The rent was higher then where we were but there were only two houses for rent in our small town at the time, and the other one was two stories. It wouldn’t have worked with my husband’s injuries.

At first I was so busy selling things, and getting paperwork together to try and get loans that I didn’t have a moment to think. I was on automatic pilot. When we finally got in our new rental it was weeks before we were relaxed enough to think about our situation. I had to sell almost all my dishes and glassware and had two coffee mugs left. One for Chuck and one for me and one day one slipped out of my hand and fell and broke. It was then that I too broke down.

I cried for hours. I lifted my hands to God and told Him that I was so mad at Him! “Why did you do this to us God,” I cried. I told him of all the things we had done for others during our life of ministry and the rest of our lives too, since we dedicated them to Him.

“I don’t understand you God? You know this isn’t fair and you know that we are flat broke with nothing at our age to show for our lives,” I said angrily. Bottom line is I let God have it.

Then as I cried myself out to a whimper and lay down on my bed exhausted, God begin to speak to me of His love for me. He told me that it’s not over and that He would not break His promise to me to have my own home again someday. But then I saw that the real culprit was Satan. God spoke to me that Satan was desperate because we had so many plans for that money that involved God’s people! Satan put people in that jury box that were cold hearted and eager to see us suffer because it was the only way he could stop all the good that was going to come from the money we needed.

It made sense. Our case is at the State Supreme Court now and they are hearing it. I don’t know how it will turn out but I don’t care anymore.

I began to see that I had put too much emphasis on money and not enough on God. I shouldn’t have thought about it at all and remained dependent on a loving father who saw to it that we still have a roof over our heads and gave us the strength to keep going day after day.

I apologized to God because I realized that our relationship with God is not a human relationship. Human relationships break down when we often don’t feel like we get what we need from them. We think, “If he or she loved me they would have done this or that for me.” But our relationship with God is a covenant. He never stops loving us, even when we do get mad at Him. It’s a love that is meant to be everlasting because He chose us. He knew who would be His from the beginning of time. That is a love that is supernatural. It’s a love that lasts through eternity. He is always on our side, and He promises to make something good out of our lives and restore the years the locusts have eaten away.

Any human relationship can and will end. Either through natural death or God only knows what. God’s love will never fail us.

Satan was laughing and dancing gleefully the day I threw myself on the floor and confronted God. I know that now and it breaks my heart. I was wrong. I realize now, more then ever, when you are working for God you are a prime target. The sooner Satan can make you mad enough to turn against God, the better for Him it is. The less people you can minister too the better it is for Satan. This is war. We have to put on armor and understand the enemy.

So get mad at God if you must, but don’t stay mad. Moses questioned God, Abraham questioned God and many others have too.

It’s okay to get mad, but it’s time to ask forgiveness of Him and restore your relationship. He’s waiting for you in the Garden! Meet Him there and make up with Him!

Controllng Your Anger

anger

When we respond to things we do not like, or things that trigger us, with anger, bitterness and rebellion our lives are out of control. I am not talking about an occasional time of losing our temper, because we all do that. I am talking about a life that includes uncontrollable behavior on a daily basis.

First we have to be willing to change, and then we have to ask God to help us. If we could change on our own we would do it. We need the supernatural power of God to help us overcome our triggers.

In the gospel of Mark we see the power of Jesus displayed over and over again.

Jesus raised the dead, gave sight to the blind, restored deformed limbs, made lame people walk, cast out demons, healed incurable skin diseases, and quieted storms.

Jesus is a powerful savior and He is able to do the impossible when we ask Him to do so. Jesus came to help us. We know that because of His painful death on the cross of Calvary, which he endured so that He could free us from our bondages to sin and give us eternal life.

The problem we have is that we like to appear to be strong and handle things ourselves. We usually don’t go to Jesus for help until we have exhausted all others means of help.

He is much more powerful then any of our dependencies, problems and weaknesses. He has the power to help us with any problem we have that seems impossible. All we have to do is look to Him and say, “HELP!”

We ask for His help, in the name of Jesus. The powerful name of Jesus is miraculous. I cannot tell you the times I call on that name when things are seemingly too hard for me to bear. Truthfully, He has never let me down. When I come to Him He wipes my tears and gives me strength to get through any circumstance.

Come to Him today, Beloved. Decide not to spend another day responding to things the way you always have responded to things. If your method worked you would be free of anger, bitterness and a bad temper. He is waiting for you to ask for His help!

Peace In The Midst Of Our Enemies

Guardian Angels Children 01

Peace In The Midst of Enemies

The 23rd Psalm has always comforted me.  I memorized it as a child, and would repeat it at night before going to sleep, for comfort. My uncle had given me a little bible for Christmas. I went through the bible cover to cover and it was at the front of it that someone had printed out the 23rd psalm in the bible for children. My family didn’t go to church in those days, and yet God had his hand on me and led me to scripture for comfort.

I was thinking today about the 5th verse of the 23rd Psalm, which says “You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil, my cup runs over.”

This verse is interesting as it implies that even in the midst of our enemies, even when sitting right there with them, we have the anointing of the Holy Spirit and we need not fear them. In fact the anointing is so great that it literally pours out of the cup and runs over!

In the Old Testament “Oil” is used as a symbol for the Holy Spirit! Think about your life today, right now! Whom do you fear? What do you fear? Maybe, because of life’s difficult situations these days, you may have to literally sit down at a table in the presence of someone in your home who is an enemy. It may be a person who is totally against God and living their life as if going to hell is their goal. You can sit down in front of this person and thank God that you have the anointing that He has poured over you and nothing this person says or does can touch you!

Maybe your enemy today is lack of money, maybe it’s illness, and maybe it’s depression. Whatever that situation is that you are “sitting” with today, you will come out victorious if you can align your mind with that scripture. God doesn’t lie. Lying is not in Him. Write that scripture verse down. Have faith in it, and believe it. Nothing, or no person that you are in the midst of today, will have the victory! You will overcome by the anointing of the Holy Spirit in the midst of your problem.

We don’t’ spend enough time talking about the Holy Spirit these days, but we should! When Jesus ascended to Heaven he assured us that he was not leaving us alone. He told us that He was leaving the Comforter with us, in the “person” of the Holy Spirit.

There are times, when in the midst of adversaries, you may have to repeat that verse over and over in your head until you “feel” peace. You will be surprised at how getting your thoughts on that verse gets your thoughts off of the person across from you!

Wherever we are, whatever is going on, God is with us and we have the anointing. I have had times where I had to deal with an unpleasant situation or person that was filling me with anxiety. I learned to pray beforehand “Father, please anoint me with the Holy Spirit, send angels before me to prepare my way before I have to meet with this person.” I want you to know that simple prayer has never failed me yet!

Give it a try yourself! Believe and have faith in The Word of God!  People are human, people fail us, the Word of God never fails!

Father, we thank you today that your Word never fails. Give us peace in the midst of enemies. Your peace Father is so surreal that it astounds those around us when you flood it over us, in the midst of our trials. Thank you Father for “Peaces that surpasses all understanding” In Your Name the Name Above All Names we pray. Amen and Amen.

Jesus Can Set You Free And Keep You Free

372F667E-A65C-4C07-811A-57FBE99A9AA2

Sometimes we have to let people go for their own good. We cannot carry people, through prayer, forever. At a certain point in our walk with God we have to quit eating baby food and start eating solid food. At a certain point we have to grow enough to step out and use what we have learned to help grow others in Christ. We cannot help others until we get free from things that hold us back. Why? Because people see that as hypocrisy. They then turn away from God and some never come back! I did that for years before I was completely set free from things ruining my testimony.

If there is no growth it’s because we are sitting around singing the blues, full of self pity,  instead of trusting God to show us how to live joyful in good times and bad. It takes work that no other human being can do for us.

Remember when Jesus said to the man at the pool of Bethesda, “Get up, take up your mat and walk.” The man had complained to Jesus that he had no one to help him to the pool for healing. Jesus healed him, but then put the responsibility right back on him.

It’s wonderful when Christians pray for us! It builds our faith when God answers their prayers for us.

It takes us making a decision to follow God,no matter how we are feeling, to stay healed.

God healed me of depression several years ago. But that doesn’t mean depression doesn’t try to come back on me, because it does. I have been taught by God that I cannot give in to depression. You know some of my life, but I am pretty sure you don’t know all. Believe me when I tell you that I have a lot of reasons to stay depressed. The only way to be joyful, is for me to choose joy. If I start to think about my life and feel sorry for myself I can go down into depression really quickly.

God has taught me that when I feel the first little bit of self pity I simply STOP and put my mind on God. I praise Him for anything I can think of. I read the Word, I read the encouragement others put online, I put on worship music and raise my hands and worship.

It’s not always easy. But it works. You may not be battling depression you may be battling drugs, alcohol, anger, pornography. Whatever it is, you can get it off your mind and out of your life the same way!

We cannot spend the next five or ten years taking one step forward and two steps back and then expecting our friends to do the work that  we  need to do to stay free!

Someone, right now Jesus is saying “It’s time to get free and never go backwards! As you make an effort to take responsibility and stay free, I will meet you right where you are and keep you free!”

God loves you! He really does! You have work to do in the Kingdom! Take up your mat and WALK!
