Do You Have Unanswered Prayers? Here’s Why

The other day was my birthday and usually on my birthday I like to think about all the things that changed, for better or worse, during the past year.

As I pondered some of the hard things that happened I begin to speak to God about them. I thought about the fact that I had many prayers to God that He had not answered. I thought about how many promises that God spoke to my heart that hadn’t come to past and the longer I thought about it the more I told God that I didn’t understand it. I said, “God why are you not answering my prayers? I am serving you, I am trying my best to live for you and yet you have seemed to turn your back on me.”

Maybe you are thinking, “I can’t believe you talked to God like that!” Yes I did but be honest with me, at times you feel the same way. Yet, like me, you are still here and you are still trusting God.

You see Abraham questioned God, so did David and so did Job. That’s called relationship. It happens when we have relationship with God. We don’t just know about Him we know Him because we walk with Him and talk with Him daily.

He wants us to come to Him with our feelings, good and bad, because that shows Him how very much we want to be in a right relationship with Him. If God never answered another one of my prayers I still know how blessed I am!

I will tell you something else. Not for one moment do I think He will NOT answer my prayers. His timing is perfect and I trust Him that there are reasons for delays that I do not know about. I trust His love. As I was crying out to Him I could feel His presence surrounding me, I sensed His hurt that I didn’t understand what is going on.

Beloved, when God is all you’ve got, God is all you’ve got. That alone is enough. We have to trust that our answers are coming and when they do come they will be better then we ever thought they would be!

God has told us that in these last days things will be hard. I know that God has shown me that there is so much interference on a spiritual level that often keeps God’s help from getting to us when we think it should. There is a spiritual battle in the heavens. The goal of Satan is to keep us in so much doubt that we turn our backs on God. We know that God is stronger and that no demon in hell will keep Him from getting our prayer answers to us!

Our answers are coming quickly I sense it in my spirit. Do not give up beloved as I believe we are on the brink of miracles! God will not forsake us. Recognize the satanic interference and pray against it. I often walk around my house and tell Satan to get out, in the name of Jesus Christ. I can literally feel a great sense of peace as I do that! Please do that yourselves. If you need prayer write me. I take every prayer request to the Father!

Regarding Suicide

Before I start my story let’s get this out of the way, yes I know life can get hard sometimes and I have compassion for those who feel like quitting. I know that sometimes the pain gets to be too much and that sometimes the person in pain just wants it all to end. Having said that let me show you the other side of suicide.

In my humble opinion suicide is the ultimate Narcissistic act. It’s the person saying my pain is more intense then my love for you, my child, my parents, my siblings or my partner. It’s a lifetime sentence for the people left behind.

Some of you know that God works through me in mystical ways. I don’t like the word mystic but it’s my only way to explain it to folks who don’t understand the gifts of the Holy Spirit, so please bear with me.

One day many years ago, while doing spiritual counseling with a client, I saw first hand the aftermath of suicide. The woman sitting in front of me was a physical therapist at a facility that I too worked at. I knew nothing about her but that.

Immediately, as she sat down, God showed me a very agitated woman standing in back of the physical therapist. I tried to ignore it but the woman kept agitating. Finally I stopped long enough to hear the woman say, over and over, “Tell her I am sorry, tell her I am sorry, tell her I am sorry!”

I said to the PT, “ I am sorry but before we go any farther there is a woman standing in back of you repeating over and over, “Tell her I am sorry.”

The PT’s eyes got big and she started to cry. Huge body wracking sobs were coming out of her. I was taken a back, and stood up to go comfort her by giving her a hug. She just collapsed into that hug like a child whose heart had been broken in a million pieces.

When she finally gathered her composure she told me the following; “You don’t know this but when I was 12 years old my mother shot and killed herself in front of me and my two younger brothers. I have wondered my whole life if she had any idea of the pain she was causing me, and my brothers, in order that she could escape her own pain. You have just given me the closure I never had!”

My entire life I have not forgotten that particular counseling session. The pain that poor woman had inflicted upon her by her own mother was simply overwhelming. It shaped my whole opinion on suicide from that day forth.

Please, if you feel suicidal, consider the pain you are transferring from yourself to your loved ones and get help.

As Christians we are reminded of the scripture, “The Lord giveth life and the Lord taketh life, blessed be the Name of The Lord!” God gave us our lives and only he has a right to take it. There is a time appointed for each of us to die. When we commit suicide we show that we think that we, and we alone, have the right to decide when to die. We play God.

I know it hurts but find someone to counsel with and get help! God has a better plan for your life and Satan wants to disrupt that plan through death. Start praying for God to help you and He will! What you may see as the end of your life is actually a doorway to a new beginning!

Signs And Wonders

expectamiracle

So Gideon said to Him, “If now I have found favor in Your sight, then show me a sign that it is You who speak with me.” Judges 6:7

A lot of times people tell me that they want to hear from God yet He never speaks to them.

The truth is that God speaks to those who are open to God speaking to them. God whispers to us each day. If you are not open to the whispers, the synchronicities, you will miss them.

God is very specific when He speaks to you. I find it so fascinating that God knows that I like puzzles. So He gives me pieces of knowledge and lets me put them together to see what he is telling me. That, however, is just one of the ways He speaks with me.

Right after you read this; if you are aware, God will give you little signs, little glimpses of His divine providence. You will see things in different ways then you have seen them before, if you are open to see things differently.

A dear friend of mine died a few months ago. I was broken-hearted by her unexpected death. She was younger then I am, so I assumed I would die before her. She was too young to die. She had sent me an instant message a week before and she sounded fine. She woke up one morning, said she was having a hard time breathing, and she died instantly. It really hit me. It made me realize that we never know when someone will die and so we have to really live fully each day. I was not able to go to her services. I was upset about it and cried my eyes out the day before. The morning of the day of her service I got out of bed and went into the kitchen to start coffee. I opened my window and in broad open daylight I saw an owl looking at me. The owl just sat on the fence and looked. I felt a peace come over me, I knew that it was a messenger letting me know my friend was okay, with God and would understand my reason for not going to her service. I was able to let go a bit after seeing the owl. Owls symbolize wisdom. Both my friend and I teach wisdom learned in the crucible of fire. The school of hard-knocks was a teacher for her and for me. That’s why we bonded well as friends. I do not believe in coincidences. God spoke to me in a way I was totally open to.

God uses birds often to speak to us. We simply need to read the times in the Word birds were used by God to see their significance.

One time during a hard time in my life I had to go to the bank to clear up something I was embarrassed by. My soon to be ex-husband, at the time, had taken money out of my account that was not his to take I was in a hard position. I had not idea how I was going to pay my bills. I didn’t know what to say to the woman who I assumed was so classy nothing like that would ever have happened to her. I figured there would be no way she would understand and believe my story. I sat in the lobby of the bank, waiting for her.

They had music playing that was piped through the intercom. I was praying so hard for a miracle with the woman when all of a sudden the song, “Tiny Dancer,” which just happened to be my favorite song for all time, played. I had never heard that kind of music at the bank. I immediately calmed down knowing that God used that to let me know, “I hear you and I am with you.” Sure enough the woman was totally understanding of my situation and was able to get my money back from my ex-husbands account and in to my own.

Start watching for signs. When you pray for a sign, God will give you one. God is with us always. We have ministering angels with us always. You do not have to depend on your own ability, just be open to God performing miracles for you. Say, right now, “Thank you God for working my situation out for me. I know you are with me and all will work out fine! Then watch for signs and wonders. God is with you, just be open to hearing from Him.

Surrender To What Is

When things are happening that we are not pleased with because they might not be what we want to happen and we might not be where we really want to be but for whatever reason it’s what’s happening now and where we are now, then all we can do is surrender and go with it for now.

Surrender = peace

If you catch a fish on a hook it might start to thrash about trying its darnest to get off the hook. But very rarely will it happen that the fish escapes the hook. It’s caught and that’s just how it is.

Today I said to God that I need to have some encouragement because it feels as if He has me in a holding pattern. I want to land and go forward on my journey. Yet God whispered to me that the time is not yet for my prayers for certain things to be answered with YES. I don’t have a “no” answer but I have to surrender to what is for now!

Are you here with me beloved? If so take a deep breath or two and surrender to what is. Be still and confident that your answer is not here yet but it will be soon because God wants to give us the desires of our heart. But rest assured that when He does the time will be absolutely perfect. It’s going to be better then you ever dreamed it would be. Completely perfect.

Quit thrashing around and surrender to this moment.

Breaking! A Word From God Concerning Warfare

“But thou art holy, O thou that inhabits the praises of Israel.” (Psalm 22:3)

Beloved today I am impressed to share the above scripture with you. As I sought the Lord today I began to sense a lot of confusion in the Spirit.

I sense that a lot of God’s people are confused about where to go, what to do and it’s causing your faith to be tested more severely then it has ever been tested. I sense that some Christians are at a point they feel ready to give up. Some of you have felt like no matter how true you are to the Lord and no matter how often you fast and pray nothing is changing.

God began to speak to me that the cause of such severe confusion is a hoarde of interfering demonic spirits unleashed to create so much confusion and deception that His people feel defeated.

It is not Gods will for His people to be defeated. Beloved the Lord says in the Word that he has come that we may have peace and abundance. He wants us to have enough provision that we can not only pay our bills but help others to pay theirs also. It’s not God’s will that we go around downcast without our needs met.

The scripture above tells us that God inhabits( lives within) the praises of His people. So when we start praising God in the middle of bad circumstances he dwells among us, He stands right by our side. No devil in hell is allowed to cross the blood line that Christ puts around His people.

When an army goes into battle if at first they don’t succeed what do they do? They bring in better, more powerful weapons. So seeing that these confusing spirits are trying to keep our blessings from us in these last days we are going to have to bring in more weapons. I urge you to lift your arms and walk around your home and start praising God. When you get in your car start praising God, when you go in the shower start praising Him! If, and hopefully you do, you pray in tongues then this is the time to praise Him in tongues too!

God is going to bring breakthroughs that will shock and surprise your enemies, both in this world and the spirit world! Bring God into covenant agreement with you by praising Him in the middle of your situation!

Please let me know when your breakthroughs come so that I can share them with others for their encouragement!

He Will Calm Your Storm

296AFE55-38B6-4931-AB90-F7BC68EE9EA0

In peace I will lay down and sleep, for you alone God make me dwell in safety. Psalm 4:8

Growing up, as a small child, we lived in the panhandle of Texas. Back then the wind would

pick up in the Summer, the clouds would move in, dark and ominous, and we knew rain was coming. Sometimes that rain would bring a tornado or two with it. I remember trying to sleep at night but being afraid to because of a tornado warning. I trusted my parents when they told me to go to sleep because if we had to get to shelter they would wake me up.

Storms come to everyone’s life. A whole lot of times they are not weather storms but storms of problems.

Life doesn’t always go perfectly for a whole lot of us who live paycheck to paycheck. We have unexpected expenses arise, and one thing like that can really throw our budgets out of whack

and we often don’t know how we are going to make it.

Then there are the emotional storms that come up, maybe it’s illness, death of a loved one, our partner leaves or has a drug or alcohol problem, we lose our jobs. It can be anything, I know because I too have storms.

The thing is that Jesus calms storms. We simply have to release them. We hold on to them thinking that unless we can figure out, with our little finite minds, what do to we are doomed. We think it’s all up to us to find a solution.

We have forgotten that we serve the God who parted the Red Sea. The God that created miracles then, is still in the miracle working business.

I have had miracles that would blow your mind. I have had times when I lost everything and yet God replaced it and more. I have had Godly people give me just enough money to keep me going because God told them too. Miracles still happen. I can honestly testify to that.

I know right now you are afraid you won’t make it either. I am going to ask you to close your eyes. See all of your problems in a basket. Now hand that basket to God. Thank Him for taking your problems, your worries and have faith that he will handle them now. He’s on the scene. Your miracle is at hand! Keep your eyes on Jesus! Not the storm! Rest knowing if he needs you he’ll call you!

Receiving Your Anointing

waitingonHim

1 John 2:27 – But the anointing which ye have received of him abides in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teaches you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

Did you know that when you received the Holy Spirit you also received an anointing for your life? The Holy Spirit now living inside of you teaches you all things and leads you into all truth concerning the plan God has for your life.

If you do not know what your calling is, and you have received the Holy Spirit, then you will want to pray and seek God and God alone regarding what area of ministering you are called into.

The scripture above clearly states the “you need not any man to teach you.” Lately it concerns me that you have certain people teaching classes showing you how to prophecy, and be a Godly seer, interpret dreams and all sorts of gifts that come directly from the Holy Spirit.

Worse yet, in my humble opinion, is that the actually charge folks for these “classes.”

I honestly tell you that you do not have to be taught how to operate in your anointing. You will be doing it simply because it’s who you are and what you do.

Furthermore, you cannot operate in any anointing that you were not called into by God.

David had an anointing on His life to slay giants. It didn’t matter that Goliath was large and muscle-bound and David was small. David was so sure that God was with him that he stepped up to Goliath and brought him down! Nowhere in the word do we read about David taking giant slaying classes.

That is how it is with God. When he is with you and the anointing is on you no demon in hell, in any form, can take you down.

I didn’t know what my calling was for years. But I did know that God was with me and I had a desire to minister to people. I started praying and fasting for answers. Finally, during one of the fasting and praying times, I woke up in the middle of the night and the fire of God was all over my body. I knew it was the Holy Spirit and I started praising God and as I did so the following scripture came to mind;

“How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who publishes peace, who brings good news of happiness, who publishes salvation, who says to Zion, “Your God reigns.” Isaiah 52:7

I was living in New Mexico surrounded by mountains, I loved to write and I realized that was what God wanted me to do. I then started a blog right before 9/11/2001. I didn’t know what a blog was but each day God would lead me into the direction He wanted me to go. I have blogged online, in one venue or another, since then and I have written four Christian books. In this way, I minister for God.

Along the way, God used the pain in my life to lead me to go back to college and do Christian Counseling in order to help those who had, are were, experiencing things he brought me out of.

Truthfully, I wanted to be a preacher. When I was a child I would stand up on the picnic table in our backyard, in Amarillo, Texas, and preach to our dogs, and other children in the neighborhood. I had a heart for God that I was born with and Satan, to this day, tries to use situations to put my light out.

The thing is, as time went on, I realized that I did not have an anointing for preaching. I know the Word, and I love to talk and teach, but I would not be successful at preaching because it is NOT where my anointing lies.

Just having a desire to do something, doesn’t mean God will use us in that area. Sometimes He will and sometimes He will not. If we are going out in our own strength, and not that of the Holy Spirit, we will fall flat on our faces. The Anointing has to be there.

However, God has something for each of us to do in order that we fill the commission to go and make ourselves “fishers of men.” We have a God-given talent, specifically designed by God Himself, to help lead others to HIM…not to us, but that through us, we will let God shine forth.

I admonish you to pray, fast and pray and fast, and do not give up until you know that you know that God has told you the area in which you are to minister.

When I write, or counsel people, I feel the fire of the spirit come upon me. I am energized and it feels as if it takes no effort to do it at all. When the anointing comes upon me I could write or counsel all day and all night long.

Save your money, you don’t need to give it to human beings to teach you to operate in your anointing.

Start Bible College, if you want, but don’t worry at first about what area to concentrate on. Sooner or later God, in the person of the Holy Spirit, will make it very clear to you as to what area of the “body” you should be working in.

A Word From God 5/9/18

Life-of-Pix-free-stock-photos-sunset-sea-light-mikewilson.jpeg

“You know the truth  but you are in denial. As you decide to close a door I will suddenly open another one in front of you. The truth is there, face it and go forward with your life. You are embarrassed to have made a mistake. In the future you must come to me in prayer when you need to make a decision that will greatly affect your life. Do not be embarrassed. You would be surprised at the number of people who have seen these things too but are currently keeping their mouths closed about it.”

Jeremiah 29:11-13 New International Version

11 For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. 12 Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.

Your Answer Is On It’s Way!

night-portrait-canon-flash-74472.jpeg

For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways, declares the LORD. Isaiah 55:8

When your answer to your prayers comes it may come quickly and in a different way then you had ever imagined. You must accept that and not resist it, even though it didn’t come in the way you imagined it would.

A woman I know had a job for fifteen years that she absolutely hated. Nevertheless, she was making a nice amount of money and felt like she was stuck. She prayed and prayed for God to open the door to a new opportunity that paid her as well, if not more then she was making at her current position.

One day, because of the company having to cut back, she lost her job through being laid off. She called me, devastated and in tears. Immediately I said to her, “But you have been praying for over a year to get another job. Maybe this is God’s way of getting you to finally look for something else.” Believe it or not, even in this economy, she found another job within three weeks of being laid off and this new job will pay her much more then what she was making at the old one.

We all have ways that we think God is going to perform our miracle. We get our minds fixed on God doing something one way and one way only. A lot of times we don’t move forward because of fear of the unknown. God is aware of that, and knows that He needs to create circumstances to move us forward, or we will stay stuck in a situation that is less then perfect for a long time.

I had prayed for a way to get away from my abusive ex-husband for years. He was physically, emotionally and verbally abusive to me. Because I am an orphan and an only child there was actually no “human” help for me, in getting my own place and getting away from him. I lived with him as a roommate for a long time, and seeing his constant “running around” with women, and his total disregard for my feelings caused a great deal of emotional turmoil in my life. I was, however, stuck. I prayed and prayed for a financial miracle.

I have talked before about the day his married mistress showed up at my door, that was a very painful situation, but it allowed me to move out of the home when she convinced my ex husband to give me a check to do so. Overnight, I was free and had a way out of the situation. It didn’t happen like I thought or hoped it would, it was painful, but God moved me out.

Some of you are probably one hour, one day, one month away from your miracle, but when it happens it may not be in the way you expected it. God will move though, and when He does it may be in a totally different way then you wanted it to be. I tell you this, except your freedom, from the bondage of your problem, with thanksgiving, as God’s ways are perfect.

When you start praying for your miracle, things may temporarily seem to get worse. Things may get stirred up a bit. Before the children of Israel were released from their bondage they went through a total of nine plaques. During this time Moses was asking Pharaoh for their release. Pharaoh tried to compromise with Moses. He said he would allow the children of Israel to go out into the wilderness to sacrifice to their God, but they must return to Egypt. Moses refused to compromise. Finally, the Israelites gained their freedom from Egypt and left for the Promised Land, without having to compromise.

If we accept compromise we will remain in bondage to our situations. Like Moses we may have to say “no” to compromising many times. When we refuse to settle for compromising, then complete freedom comes.

Often, I think, we are like the Hebrews who did not appreciate Moses when he tried to rescue them. I often give guidance to a person, through the discernment of the Lord, that they refuse to accept. People want their answers, “their way.” Sometimes people are not willing to make the effort to gain freedom from bondage. I totally understand that. I can assure you, as in my own case, God will change your situation overnight, when He wants it changed.

There are always ways out of our difficulties and if we refuse to take a different route in our stubbornness, God will still deliver us. If it at first seems fearful don’t despair of your situation. Think back about your prayers. God doesn’t forget them; even if at times He seems a bit slow to us in these suits of flesh. What we may perceive to be a problem, at first, just may be God’s answer in a different way then we expected it!

Father, You always answer our prayers. You show us ways out our “messes”, and even if we rebel, You still answer our prayers in Your own timing and Your own way. Help us today to accept that, and look for the good that is often hidden in bad situations. In Your Name, the Name above all names we pray. Amen and Amen,

Matthew 10:22

You will be hated by everyone on account of My name, but the one who perseveres to the end will be saved.

Matthew 24:12

Because of the multiplication of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold.

Revelation 17:14

They will make war against the Lamb, and the Lamb will triumph over them, because He is Lord of lords and King of kings; and He will be accompanied by His called and chosen and faithful ones.”

In the past two days I have prayed and inquired of the Lord the direction He wants to take my ministry.

God impressed me with going back to the first format He gave me in the beginning of my online ministry in 2001, just prior to 9/11/2001. I was called at that time to help restore and continuously build up Christian’s who are finding it hard to stand. The scriptures above are a few of the scriptures of confirmation God gave me recently about the battering of Christians in the last days.

God called us to be fishers of men. Satan, knowing his time is short, has put a time of severe testing on the people of God. When your whole world is falling apart, when Satan attacks your mind, finances, health and children it’s hard to find the strength to help and build up others in faith. Of course, that’s why he does it.

It’s time to stick together, brothers and sisters, there is strength in numbers. We must put others before ourselves and help them to stand strong. The body of believers should    work together to meet the physical and emotional needs of others.

It concerns me that I am seeing people get saved one day and the next day they set up online ministries. Here are a few things I have seen, from some of these new believers, that concerned me; one woman, with a large following, told people that they should not pray for believers who are having hard situations. She said God is punishing them and to quit praying for them. Folks that’s wrong theology that is not biblically based. Another newbie was telling people that they should not quote scripture verses to others. Again, wrong theology! Test the spirits, do not believe anything that does not line up with the Word Of God.

Before we minister to others God calls us and anoints us. Just because we “want” to do something is not good enough. God will anoint and equip those he genuinely calls.

Next, it’s becoming harder and harder to minister on FB. The algorithms are literally killing ministries. If you are interested in being a part of our online ministry please follow us by going to Wisdom of The Cooing Dove and signing up to get our blogs. My other website is Help For God’s Hurting People. You can contact me through that one for prayer.

I may come off of FB entirely. I am still praying about it. If I do, and you are interested in daily encouragement, please go to one of the websites I listed above and sign up to get encouragement in your email box. We do not spam people or give their email address to anyone else!

In the beginning of our online ministry God directed us to meet the needs of others who were loyal ministry members. A few of the things we did were the following; pay to have a woman’s oven fixed, pay to get a new air conditioner for a disabled woman in California, pay utility bills for desperate people, buy food for hungry children, help women get in a place of their  own who were homeless due to domestic violence. We would love to be able to do these things again but because of money grabbing ministers buying huge homes and fancy cars all ministry has had a decrease in donations. We hope God will lead folks to donate for these things again and we have a donation button on the Help For God’s Hurting People website.

Chuck, my husband, and I are praying about online videos or FB live to minister to others. Chuck is my covering. He and I share ministry and prayer for others. We do personal bible study, as God leads us, together during the week. Through all the things sent to us, meant to destroy us, we have been held up by God! Truthfully, these things have been growth opportunities. It sounds crazy, but we thank God for them, for that reason!

So that’s what’s on my mind this morning. God has brought many mature Christians to minister online to me too and   I thank God for their friendship. We share their messages too. If I share one of their encouraging words it’s because God has revealed their heart to me. On the other hand I have had to unfollow a few folks recently because of Godly discernment, just FYI. Keep in mind that my personal FB account has both saved and unsaved friends. I having been praying about just having my Wisdom Of The Cooing Dove FB page. If I do I will let you know.
