A New Level!

It takes a lot of faith to sit with this truth. It hurts so much when God takes someone(s) ,or something, out of your life BUT he’s taking you to another level and on that level the partying, the half-baked, in name only, Christians will not be able to go. On the new level peace is possible in the midst of all kinds of situations that would normally stress you. On the new level God will whisper unto people to bless you and they will be obedient and do that. On the new level supernatural miracles occur daily.

Some of you need to want this level enough to let people and things that are keeping you bound GO!

God started the day telling me this, and he has continued it. This is not about judging anyone. It’s about God saying to you to get it together now, or stay in lack and stay where nothing is changing.

Amen?

It Takes Guts To Leave The Ruts

Have you heard the saying, “It takes guts to leave the ruts,”.

At the start of a new work week consider that God wants to take you in a new direction to grow you so that you can reach higher spiritual heights! Surrender your desire for things to only work out in one way and one way only. If you keep doing what you have always done you will get what you have always gotten.

Psalm 32:8-9

I hear the Lord saying, “I will stay close to you, instructing and guiding you along the pathway for your life. I will advise you along the way and lead you forth with my eyes as your guide. So don’t make it difficult; don’t be stubborn when I take you where you’ve not been before. Don’t make me tug you and pull you along. Just come with me!”

God’s Got Your Backslidden Loved One

Just something going through my mind. Every now and then your heart gets broken when someone you had high hopes for, someone you know has a calling on their life, starts hanging with the wrong people and living like the devil. You wonder what happened? Did you miss God? Was this person never saved to begin with?

No, just the opposite. The devil was so afraid of the anointing on that person’s life that he brought in the big guns to take the person down. He studied the believer, listened to their prayers, knew their weaknesses and used those things to tempt them and bring them down.

But don’t worry! God’s word tells us he has tattooed their name on the palm of his hand. They belong to Him. God knows it and so does the devil. They don’t lose their anointing. God will let them fall and fall hard until the only thing they can do is look up and ask God to restore them!

He will too, because they belong to him. He has a father’s heart! So don’t be downcast family and friends. They won’t be playing in the pigs trough forever!

The Right Solution Will Give You Peace

trees in park

Discernment is a gift that everyone has access to. Many don’t experience the peace that comes from following God-given discernment because they don’t use it on a regular basis.

I believe the more we follow the discernment that God gives us the more discernment God will give us. When we get a feeling about something and then ignore it we often end up regretting it.

For me when I am doing the right thing I experience a great deal of peace.

Tuesday and Wednesday of this week I began to get concerned. My iPad, which is about four years old or so, stopped charging. Now, my iPad has my whole life on it. I have notes from counseling sessions with clients, passwords, all my credit card companies so that I can check my accounts and pay online, my bank account, my book manuscripts, my blog manuscripts, my pharmacy information, my doctor’s office records, you name it.

Frankly, I have had trouble with my iPad not charging before, but usually by buying a new cable the problem is resolved. I have a iPhone but the screen is hard for me to read. With my older eyes I need something larger.

So, what to do? I would ideally like a new iPad but I cannot afford to buy one at this time. So, I went to the Apple store online and found an iPad I liked. I saw there that I might be able to buy one with payments. I checked into it and the payments were too high. I discussed it with my husband and he said, “You have to have one. Consider it a ministry tool that you MUST have and go ahead and put it on credit. God knows you need one and he will supply the money for the payments.”

So, that made sense and I started to try and buy one online. I begin to feel terribly anxious. I knew that I was not in God’s will to make payments. I had no peace about it and every time I started to put my information in to qualify I felt anxious again. Even though it made sense that I needed one, I knew that that payment was not what God wanted me to do.

What is right gives you a sense of peace. When you are going against your God given discernment you will just not feel right about your decision. If you go ahead anyway it usually ends up bad.

What ever gives you a sense of struggle and strife is false. Whether it’s a relationship, a major purchase, a job, or a person, if you don’t have peace do not do it.

I then went into prayer. I said, “God buying a new iPad is not in my budget right now, and I would have to finance it. I don’t feel right about it. What do you want me to do? I could buy a cheap tablet but it would be a hassle to move all my things over with anything but iPad, which would automatically transfer to a new one.”
I prayed and then I made a decision to step away from it for a while. I started cleaning my stove. I figured that would take a lot of time and take my mind away from the problem. Believe it or not it seemed to clear my head.

I sat down to relax after my cleaning job and immediately something came into my mind. I remembered last week my husband said he thought we had suffered a power surge. Could that have fried the cord I was using? Maybe that was it. I tried several cables in that same outlet to charge it and nothing worked. I tried different outlets, near by, with the same cables and they would charge but really slowly. I remembered that I had bought a couple of new cables awhile back. I also knew, through the help of God, that I should try using the USB in a newer surge protector that I had. This whole thought process was absent when I was stressing over it. Now it seemed obvious.

So, I did that and it worked. I am now having to use the new cable in that surge protector each time I charge the iPad but it WORKS. Praise the Lord.

MY PEACE WAS RESTORED.

I urge you to develop your God given discernment by only moving forward into something when you experience peace.

One other thing I advise is giving the problem a break. Do something else that takes your mind off of the problem. Walk away from it. Stress causes confusion. Just stepping away for a while will often clear your head to where God can give you a divine solution!

Joel 2:25-26

I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the hopper, the destroyer, and the cutter, my great army, which I sent among you. “You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied, and praise the name of the Lord your God, who has dealt wondrously with you. And my people shall never again be put to shame.

Jeremiah 30:17

For I will restore health to you, and your wounds I will heal, declares the Lord, because they have called you an outcast: ‘It is Zion, for whom no one cares!’

Job 42:10

And the Lord restored the fortunes of Job, when he had prayed for his friends. And the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before.

1 Peter 5:10

And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.

Zechariah 9:12

Return to your stronghold, O prisoners of hope; today I declare that I will restore to you double.

Vindication

Deuteronomy 32:36

“For the LORD will vindicate His people, And will have compassion on His servants, When He sees that their strength is gone, And there is none remaining, bond or free.

Isaiah 54:17

“No weapon that is formed against you will prosper; And every tongue that accuses you in judgment you will condemn This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, And their vindication is from Me,” declares the LORD.

Jeremiah 51:10

The LORD has brought about our vindication; Come and let us recount in Zion The work of the LORD our God!

Psalm 35:27

Let them shout for joy and rejoice, who favor my vindication; And let them say continually, “The LORD be magnified, Who delights in the prosperity of His servant.”

Isaiah 50:8

He who vindicates Me is near; Who will contend with Me? Let us stand up to each other; Who has a case against Me? Let him draw near to Me.

The Tables Have Turned

Yesterday I felt as if God wanted me to meet him for a Word. I turned off the TV, put down my IPad and started to pray in tongues. Almost immediately God gave me a vision. The room began to glow and I was looking at the heavenlies.

I saw a veil that Satan and his demons were holding between themselves and warring angels. God said, “Daughter listen!”

As I listened I begin to hear prayers, frantic prayers, being prayed in desperation for what sounded like impossible situations.

God said, “WATCH!” As a watched more warrior angels, then I had ever imagined, charged full speed at the veil, over and over they pushed and suddenly they broke through the veil Satan had placed to keep prayers from God’s ears. A huge roar of victory was heard in the atmosphere as the angels rushed to go to the side of each person praying. The atmosphere was alive with promise of answered prayers!

I looked at God and he looked me and shouted, The tables are turning! WATCH as those who have oppressed my children now eat from the bitter dish they served my people’s.

The Tables Have Turned!

According the Oxford English Dictionary, if you “turn the tables” on someone, it is generally understood that you have reversed the fortunes in your favor to some capacity, so as to “reverse one’s position relative to someone else, especially by turning a position of disadvantage into one of advantage.”

Happy Anniversary To The Guy God Sent!

Today is our fourteenth anniversary and the beginning of fifteenth years of marriage. I had been single for five years when I met Chuck. He had been single for seventeen years.

I went to lunch one day and pulled up to the drive up window to pick up my food. While waiting in the line the Lord spoke to me and said, ‘Cathie when you get to the window to pay for your food I want you to take all the money you have in your purse and bless the woman at the window with it!” Being ever the rebel I said to God, “You have to be kidding! I need that money!” And God said, “Give her that money!” Knowing better then to disobey God, I did just that. God knew what he was doing, The woman started to cry. Because of a situation in her life life she desperately needed the extra money.

I drove away telling God, “Okay Lord I claim that money as a seed for a Christian husband. One week later I met Chuck.

Though not actively looking for a husband I wrote down 6 attributes I wanted in a Christian husband. 6 things I would not compromise on. I said he needed to be tall.He needed to have a beard. He needed to have a relationship with God, not just be a pew sitter. He needed to know the Word and be a prayer warrior and He needed to be a giver.

Chuck had all those things. One day while talking on the phone he explained the lineage of Mary, the mother of Jesus. I was hooked. I knew he wasn’t superficial. He KNEW the Word. As we were both Messianic Believers that, to me, was important. Two months later we got married.

The first few years of our marriage consisted of God working out rough edges in both of us. Big Time! When we finally moved forward in love and commitment Chuck went in the hospital for open heart surgery. It didn’t go well. He got a flesh eating virus that ate his sternum and ribs. He almost died twice and, even with insurance, the expenses took all our savings for retirement. We were broke. At the same time the IRS decided to go after us for money they claimed we owed on the house in Denver we had sold. Truly it was the most stressful time of our lives. God helped us one day at a time.

Those incidences bonded our marriage even closer and drove us even deeper into the arms of God. Having nobody but each other to depend on bonded our marriage with strands of Gold!

People say opposites attract. I disagree. Chuck and I spend 24/7 together. We never run out of things to talk about. We study the Word together. We pray together twice a day, sometimes more. We believe our marriage is a covenant with God. The three stranded cord that cannot easily be broken.

God knew what he was doing when he put us together. I praise him for it daily!

Happy Anniversary to my love, the guy that God sent. My partner here and through eternity! I love you with all my heart!

Merry Christmas Family Of God

Merry Christmas to my counseling clients, friends and family!

We have laughed, cried and celebrated special moments together since this time last Christmas. You will never know how happy I feel when I see some of you, with every reason to fall apart, keeping it together, with the help of God, one day at a time!

I want to thank those of you who have donated, “Because God told me to give you this”, so that I can offer free counseling to those in need.

My favorite donation remark came last week when someone said, “ God told me to donate for myself and three other leper’s. She said that after reading my shared scripture;

“When one of them saw that he was healed, he came back. He praised God in a loud voice. He threw himself at Jesus’ feet and thanked Him. The man was a Samaritan.

When Jesus saw the Samaritan, He immediately wondered about the other nine men who had also been healed.

Jesus asked, “Weren’t all ten healed? Where are the other nine? Didn’t anyone else return and give praise to God except this outsider?”

Then Jesus said to him, “Get up and go. Your faith has healed you.” Luke 17:11-19

I love ministering to God’s people but it’s only through being delivered from the pits of hell, and totally broken, that God taught me enough to help others. Don’t despise the hard times they are preparing you for your destiny in the Kingdom.

I love every single one of you and I thank you for your part in making my life better each day!

I pray that the year ahead of us is the best yet and I believe it’s a year of supernatural restoration! Praise His Name for choosing us to live with Him for eternity!

Vindication Now Says The Lord God

The Lord has been speaking to me this evening about vindication.

To vindicate means to clear someone of blame or suspicion.

God spoke to my heart that some of us have been right with him, living for him, for years. Yet there are people in our lives that are still holding the past against us. Family and friends who refuse to give up the past and constantly hold on to things they shouldn’t hold on to. Satan has been using the things these people do and say to break our hearts. Things that are no longer who we are or being used against us.

God is getting ready to vindicate his people. Those who have lied about and tried to hurt the people of God are getting ready to have the tables turned on them. God is no longer going to sit back and allow those who are His beloved children to be abused by these heartless hypocrites.

Get ready, beloved of the Lord! You stand at the door of vindication and woe to those who keep using your past against you! ENOUGH says the God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob!

Situations Are Not Hopeless With God

HopeChanges

There are times in life when we are faced with what looks like hopeless situations.

I have experienced some really hard times in life and yet here I am sitting here trying to encourage you. Why? One Word JESUS.

It doesn’t matter if the hopeless situation is your fault or the fault of someone else. God see’s you just where you are and in comes quickly to your side.

What type of hope are we talking about here? We all desire a life free from trouble. We would all love to live in a world where divorce never happens, families never fight, jobs never end and bills are always paid leaving us more then enough money to enjoy ourselves. Though we might desire this kind of a life we have to face facts that that type of problem free life doesn’t exist on this planet earth.

Unless our faith is tested, every now and again we never get to see how strong our commitment to God is.

In the mid nineties my faith was tested severely. Two weeks prior to Thanksgiving I was laid off my job. I never saw it coming. As it was I was living payday to payday as a single mom. What made it even more discouraging was that the worse time in the world to look for a job is during the holidays. People just don’t seem to hire then. I realized I would need a miracle and so I started looking for another job. God gave me a miracle, a few days before Christmas the human resources manager called me and said, “Merry Christmas you have a job if you want it!”

As committed Christians the rules do not apply. You know those rules that say it’s harder to find a job over forty, and no one hires during the holidays, and blah, blah, blah. With God on our side we walk in supernatural miracles.

Our hope is in God. God is our heavenly father. Like any loving father He doesn’t like his children suffering and He sends warring angels to our sides to fight off all oppression.

God took all my props away from me early in life. I am an only child and both of my parents died when I was fairly young. I had no siblings to run to and no parents to run too. I had no backup system but God.

I read the scripture that said, “The Lord thy God shall be your husband.” I took that literally and when I had a problem I ran to Daddy God with it. Each time He came through my faith got stronger and stronger.

Beloved, do the best you can do and God will do the best He can do for you. Until you understand that other people are not your help in hopeless situations, and go straight to God with your problems, things will not change for you. You have to start taking God’s word literally, what He says He will do, He does. Believe it!

You have to be rooted strongly in God because his supply never runs out. He has resources you can never imagine. It won’t usually happen like you expect. God delights in answering our prayers in unique ways. I remember when my children and I had eaten oatmeal for a week. Times were desperate. Just about when I was about to give up a neighbor showed up with four bags full of food. She said, “God woke me up last night and said you could use this food.” The thing about it was that the woman was not saved. As a matter of fact she had a reputation of being a drunk in our town. But, that woman had a heart of gold. If you wait around for church people to help you might often go hungry. I have been blessed more in my life by ordinary people who God used then religious church people. I often have people come to me and ask for prayer, that are losing this, that and the other and yet when I ask them if they are givers they tell me, “I don’t have any extra money.” I want to say “that’s why you are having financial problems.” We have all heard the story of the widow in the bible who gave her last coin and how blessed she was by God for that sacrificial giving. I once taught this principal of giving and a woman decided to put me to the test. I had said, “Give what you can give even if it is only a candy bar. Bring it in and place it on someone’s desk at work. That woman sent me a candy bar in the mail, sort of mocking my statement. What she didn’t know that when I received it I was really craving something sweet and truly enjoyed it.

When you give to others God gives to you at a time you most need it. If we are stingy, then God is stingy with us. I want to assure you that if you have planted seeds God will give you a harvest at a time you need it the most.

Don’t give up. God is on the scene! You never know whose ear He whispers in to answer your need. BELIEVE and receive!
