And if anyone will not receive you or listen to your words, shake off the dust from your feet when you leave that house or town. Matthew 10:14
What ever tried to destroy you, and didn’t…that’s where you will be used. You will minister to people you understand really well and have a whole lot of compassion for because you are so much alike. You know when to be soft with them and when to be hard..
Don’t try to minister to people who don’t understand and welcome you into their life. Someone else will minister to them, someone who they can relate to.
Once a woman from a bible study I was facilitating in my home, at that time, invited me to a gathering of Christians at her home. They were all millionaires and yes, they were Christians but a radical prayer never came out of their mouths. They had a whole lot of head knowledge about the Word but no heart knowledge. I couldn’t get out of their fast enough.
Notice the ministries you enjoy. They are people that you are simpatico with. You feel at home with them.
Even in a marriage you won’t always agree. That’s okay. Give your partner the freedom to watch the minister’s that edify them. My husband likes some ministers that I don’t and visa versa.
Not everyone is going to like you. So what. You can be a peach and you can be the most beautiful, succulent peach on the tree. Guess what? Some people just do not like peaches. Don’t take it personally!
