Walking in the Supernatural Gifts of the Holy Spirit

“And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, and your young men shall see visions. Even on the male and female servants in those days I will pour out my Spirit.” (Joel 2:28-29)

The supernatural gifts of the Holy Spirit are an incredible aspect of our Christian faith. These gifts empower us to operate in the supernatural realm, where we can experience the power and presence of God in a tangible way. As believers, we have been called to walk in these gifts and allow the Holy Spirit to work through us to impact the world around us. In this blog post, we will explore some of these gifts and the scriptures that support their importance in our lives.

1. The Gift of Prophecy

The gift of prophecy is the ability to receive and communicate a message from God. It is a powerful gift that can bring encouragement, direction, and correction to individuals and communities. The Apostle Paul exhorted the believers in Corinth by saying, “Pursue love and earnestly desire the spiritual gifts, especially that you may prophesy.” (1 Corinthians 14:1) This verse encourages us to eagerly desire this gift and use it to edify and build up others.

2. The Gift of Healing

The gift of healing is the supernatural ability to pray for the sick and see them recover. Jesus demonstrated this gift throughout His ministry, healing the blind, the lame, and the sick. In James 5:14-15, we are encouraged to call upon the elders of the church to pray over the sick, anointing them with oil in the name of the Lord. This passage reveals the importance of this gift in the body of Christ and encourages us to believe in the power of God to bring healing.

3. The Gift of Discernment

The gift of discernment is the ability to distinguish between the spirit of truth and the spirit of deception. It is a crucial gift that helps us navigate through the spiritual realm and recognize the work of the enemy. The Apostle John urges believers to test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world. (1 John 4:1) This gift enables us to discern the true nature of spiritual influences and protect ourselves and others from deception.

4. The Gift of Tongues

The gift of tongues is the ability to speak in a language unknown to the speaker, either human or angelic. It is a gift that allows us to communicate directly with God and build ourselves up in our most holy faith. The Apostle Paul encourages believers to earnestly desire the gift of tongues and to use it for personal edification. (1 Corinthians 14:5) This gift enables us to connect with God on a deeper level and strengthens our prayer life.

5. The Gift of Miracles

The gift of miracles is the supernatural ability to perform signs and wonders that defy natural laws. It is a gift that demonstrates the power and authority of God in our lives. Jesus said, “Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do because I am going to the Father.” (John 14:12) This verse reminds us that as believers, we have been given the authority to operate in the same miraculous power that Jesus displayed during His earthly ministry.

Walking in the supernatural gifts of the Holy Spirit is an invitation to experience the fullness of God’s power and love. It is a journey of faith, where we step out in obedience and allow the Holy Spirit to work through us. As we eagerly desire these gifts and seek to use them for the glory of God and the benefit of others, we will see lives transformed, miracles happen, and the kingdom of God advance.

Let us embrace these gifts with a friendly, loving, and inspiring attitude, always remembering that they are meant to build up the body of Christ and bring glory to our Heavenly Father. May we walk in the supernatural gifts of the Holy Spirit, allowing His power to flow through us, and may our lives be a testimony to the love and grace of God.

Jesus comforting one of His daughters

In My Unconditional Love

Daddy God

Isaiah 61:1-3 – “The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion—to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor.”

“The Cry for Justice: A Prophetic Word from the God of Righteousness”

“Behold, I am the God of justice and righteousness, and I speak to you today with a prophetic word. In Luke 18:7, it is written, ‘And will not God give justice to his elect, who cry to him day and night? Will he delay long over them?’

My beloved children, I want you to know that I am a God who hears your cries for justice. I see the injustices that you face in this world, and I am not blind to your pain. Just as the widow in the parable persisted in seeking justice from the unjust judge, so too must you persist in seeking justice from the systems and structures that oppress you.

Do not lose heart, for I am with you in your pursuit of justice. I am a God who is faithful and just, and I will not delay in bringing about justice for my elect. Though it may seem like justice is slow in coming, I assure you that I am working behind the scenes to bring about a righteous resolution.

Do not grow weary in your prayers and petitions for justice. Cry out to me day and night, for I am listening. Trust in my timing, for I know what is best for you. My ways are higher than your ways, and my thoughts are higher than your thoughts.

Remember, my children, that justice is not just a human endeavor, but a divine mandate. I am a God of justice, and I call you to join me in the pursuit of justice in this world. Stand up against oppression, speak out against injustice, and seek to bring about a world where righteousness reigns.

Know that I am with you every step of the way. I will strengthen you, guide you, and empower you to be agents of justice in this world. Trust in my promises, for I am a God who keeps my word.

So, my beloved, take heart and continue to cry out for justice. Know that I am working on your behalf, and I will not delay in bringing about justice for my elect. Trust in me, for I am the God of justice and righteousness.”

A Concerned Commenter

💌 Dear followers,

I hope this message finds you all in good health and high spirits. Today, I wanted to take a moment to address a recent comment I received from a caring and observant commenter regarding a lump on my neck. I truly appreciate the concern and thoughtfulness that went into bringing this to my attention, and I want to assure you all that there is no cause for alarm.

The lump in question is called a goiter. For those who may not be familiar, a goiter is a swelling or enlargement of the thyroid gland, which is located in the neck. It can occur due to various reasons, such as an iodine deficiency or an underlying thyroid condition. In my case, I have consulted with an endocrinologist, who has confirmed that my goiter is benign and poses no risk of cancer. I want to emphasize that it is purely a cosmetic issue and does not cause me any pain or discomfort.

You may have noticed that the goiter appears larger now, and that is because I have recently lost some weight. Weight loss can sometimes accentuate the visibility of a goiter, but rest assured, it does not impact my overall well-being. While I do acknowledge that it may not be the most aesthetically pleasing feature, I have come to accept and embrace it as a part of who I am. After all, true beauty lies within, and I am grateful for the love and support I receive from all of you, which far outweighs any physical imperfections.

I wanted to share this with all of you to provide clarity and reassurance. Your concern means the world to me, and I am touched by the genuine care you have shown. Please know that I am perfectly fine and that your continued love and support are what truly matter. Together, we can celebrate our uniqueness and spread positivity in this digital community.

With all my love and gratitude,

Cathie ❤️

Title: “God’s Faithful Vineyard: Nurturing and Guarding Our Seeds of Faith”

Isaiah 5:4. In Isaiah 5, the people of Israel are portrayed as God’s vineyard, with God as the owner and tender of the vineyard.

Jesus watering seeds we planted

Now, take a look at this..

Isaiah 27:2-3

2In that day: “Sing about a fruitful vineyard. 3I, the LORD, am its keeper; I water it continually. I guard it night and day so no one can disturb it;

The seeds planted by me and you..because we have been grafted in, are continually looked after and watered by God. He is guarding them, and us, day and night.

Someone needs to hear that and believe that.

Every seed that we have planted is growing now. He’s guarding our seeds, and looking over them day and night.

Every time you unselfishly gave, without getting a thing in return, was not in vain. For Gods promises are yes and amen and he’s guarding those seeds and tending them until they bloom forth in abundance.

Praise the Lord! I don’t know about you but I am so encouraged by that!

9 Things That Can Prevent You From Receiving Blessings

Blessing Blocker 1: Disobedience

Sometimes we only focus on the big sins, but disobedience can also be failing to forgive someone or not helping those in need when we have the means to do so. God promises blessings when we obey His voice, but if we don’t, those blessings won’t come.

Blessing Blocker 2: Covering Your Sins

Covering our sins instead of confessing and forsaking them can hinder our prosperity. We need to take responsibility for our actions and repent.

Blessing Blocker 3: Your Words

Our words have power, and we can choose to speak life or death. Negative thoughts and words can hinder our blessings, so we should be mindful of what we speak and align our words with what God says about our situations.

Blessing Blocker 4: Offense

Being easily offended and carrying bitterness can block our blessings. When we let pride control us, we isolate ourselves and hinder God’s work in our lives.

Blessing Blocker 5: Being Stingy

God’s financial wisdom teaches us to give freely and be generous. Being unwilling to give or spend can block blessings, so we should be open-handed and help those in need.

Blessing Blocker 6: Self Doubt

Having doubt and being double-minded can hinder our faith and block blessings. We need to believe and trust in God, even when our circumstances are challenging.

Blessing Blocker 7: Pride

Pride can keep us down longer than necessary. Admitting our faults and wrongdoings allows us to learn and grow from them.

Blessing Blocker 8: Holding on to the Past

Living in the past and refusing to let go can hinder our growth and prevent new blessings from coming into our lives. We should release what is no longer meant for us and make room for what God has planned.

Blessing Blocker 9: Unforgivness

Unforgivness ties us emotionally to a person and hinders our healing process. We need to forgive others and let go of grudges for our own well-being and to receive forgiveness from God.

To unlock blessings in our lives, we need to examine ourselves, take responsibility for our actions, repent, and expect blessings to flow. We are called to walk in the blessings and live as blessed individuals.

Some examples of disobedience that can prevent us from receiving blessings include:

1. Failing to forgive someone: Holding onto grudges and refusing to forgive others can hinder the flow of blessings in our lives. God calls us to forgive others as He has forgiven us.

2. Neglecting to help those in need: When we have the means to help someone in need but choose not to, we are disobeying God’s command to love our neighbors as ourselves. This disobedience can hinder blessings in our lives.

3. Ignoring God’s guidance: Disobeying God’s voice and not following His guidance can prevent us from receiving the blessings He has in store for us. It is important to listen to and obey God’s instructions.

4. Neglecting spiritual disciplines: Neglecting prayer, Bible study, and fellowship with other believers can be a form of disobedience. These spiritual disciplines are essential for our growth and relationship with God, and neglecting them can hinder blessings.

5. Engaging in dishonesty: Being dishonest in our dealings with others, whether it’s lying, cheating, or stealing, is a form of disobedience. God calls us to live with integrity and honesty, and disobedience in this area can block blessings.

6. Neglecting our responsibilities: Failing to fulfill our responsibilities, whether it’s in our work, relationships, or other areas of life, can be a form of disobedience. God calls us to be faithful and diligent in all that we do, and disobedience in this area can hinder blessings.

It’s important to note that God is gracious and merciful, and when we repent and turn back to Him, He is ready to forgive and restore us. The key is acknowledging our disobedience, repenting, and seeking to align our lives with God’s will.

Placing anything or anyone above God hinders the flow of blessings because it goes against the fundamental principle of our relationship with God. God is the creator of all things, the source of all blessings, and the one who deserves our utmost worship and devotion. When we prioritize anything or anyone above God, we are essentially giving them more importance and significance in our lives than Him.

By doing so, we are disobeying the first commandment that God gave to His people: “You shall have no other gods before me” (Exodus 20:3). Placing idols, whether they are material possessions, relationships, or personal ambitions, above God indicates a lack of trust and faith in Him as the ultimate provider and sustainer of our lives.

Placing anything or anyone above God can hinder the flow of blessings because it disrupts the proper order of our relationship with Him. God desires to be the center of our lives, the one we rely on for guidance, provision, and fulfillment. When we give more importance to other things or people, we are essentially seeking fulfillment and blessings from sources that are limited and imperfect.

Additionally, prioritizing anything or anyone above God can lead to a distorted perspective and misplaced priorities. It can lead to greed, selfishness, and a pursuit of temporary pleasures and treasures rather than seeking God’s kingdom and righteousness (Matthew 6:33). These attitudes and actions hinder the flow of blessings because they are contrary to God’s desire for us to live in alignment with His will and purpose.

By placing God above all else, we acknowledge His sovereignty, goodness, and provision in our lives. We invite His blessings to flow freely because we are aligning ourselves with His plans and purposes. Placing God first allows us to experience the fullness of His blessings and live in accordance with His divine order.
